Hi Judy

Probably not on your IGI entry but John & Mary Jackson where "of Stanegarth" not sure if this would be a farm.

I have just added some Salkeld - CR & MM Parish Register Baptisms 1813 - 1884 nearly 70 entries to my rootschat website fruits of a good day out at Kendal Records Office last week

Hope the above helps

Completed Census Requests / Re: Salkeld/Robinson Marriage - Warcop - COMPLETED
« on: Monday 14 May 07 08:59 BST (UK)  »
Valda

Thanks for your reply and the IGI link this is where I have the obtained the details of the marriage of Agnes to John Robinson.

The IGI also gives the details in nearby Kirkland of Agnes Robinson to Issac Pelter on the 10 November 1840 this entry is probably a classic example of why we are told to follow up and check information from the IGI as the marriage certificate of Agnes to Issac Pelter shows she was a widow and her father was William Salkeld, Shoemaker. I have checked Census post 1840 and Agnes Pelter (nee Salkeld) was born in Crosby Ravensworth in about 1811.

I still do not know who the Robinson was that Agnes married hence my query

Thanks for the reply

Hi Allan

I hope this is of some use to you and will not throw you off the trail to much !!
as I think this is the Urwin/Irwin family you are looking for

1860 Federal Census - Cannelton, Perry County, Indiana Pg4

34 24 Robt Irwin 34 M Miner England
          Jane Irwin 27 F                 "
          Elisbit Irwin 6 F          Indiana
          Charlotte Irwin 4 F           "
          Mary Irwin 2 F                  "
35 20 Robt Irwin 62 M Miner England
          Elisbit Irwin 62 F              "
          Mary Irwin   20 F            Ohio
          G Edgly        8 M           Indiana

Missing from this Census entry re your 1841 Census Listing is Ellen Urwin/Irwin

Ellen Urwin married Thomas A. Salkeld 31 Dec 1857 - Perry County
Thomas A. Salkeld was a Coal Miner from Shotton, Co Durham

When there eldest son Thomas K. Salkeld died in 1938 his death certificate gives his
mother as Ellen Jane Irwin of "Renton" England
