If possible could someone do a look up for me for Theresa Main in the Hertfordshire 1851 census. I believe she was in Bushey or Bushey Heath at that time.

Unfortunately I don't know where she was born or when. Possibly sometime in the 1830s.

Can any one help me find my Grt Grt Grandmother Theresa Main. She is a total mystery.

I have no idea where or when she was born. I do know she had my Grt Grandmother Frances Isabella Main in 1861/2. According to the 1881 & subsequent census Frances was born in Newington Butts, Surrey. Unfortunately I don't have her exact birth date.

On her marriage cert to my Grt Grandfather, William Beament, Frances's maiden name was Main & there was a line through where her fathers name should be. As far as I know her mother Theresa never married.

I have a book that has been passed down through the family that belonged to Theresa Main. It was given to her in 1847 by her friend Ellen Wilshin. Poems have been written in the book for Theresa & by Theresa herself. There are a few that have been dated between 1851 & 1854 & signed Bushey Heath, so I am wondering if perhaps she could be in Hertfordshire on the 1851 census.

If any one should be searching the 1851 Herts would they be kind enough to do a look up for me. Also, does any one have any suggestion as to were the name Main originates. I am begining to think she may not have been born in England.

Any help will be much appreciated.

John Brown aged 54 born Chenies with his wife Eliza born Rickmansworth. They should be in Rickmansworth in 1871.
