Hi Lesley - I have done the step by step procedure that was outlined for me, but I still cannot get anywhere.  If there are others having this problem, I shouldn't feel too bad, but at present I feel as if I cannot even follow simple directions, though I did not have this problem the last time I used the site.
Thanks Lesley

Hi Andy - thanks for this hint. Much appreciated.  I have just heard finally from SP. They said that things are confused because of the frequent new passwords. They outlined what I must do on my PC, to put new settings, as my PC has blocked any entries.

I shall haste awa' and dae as ah'm telt.  I just want to thank you all that have been so helpful in my quest.

Thanks JAP - My username is correct and comes up every time on My Details, but no matter what password they have given me, and I type in, the same thing happens as outlined above.

Thanks Gobbo,Gadget and Andy for your helpful hints, it is much appreciated.
I went through my routine again by typing in username and the given password.
Up above in the blue area, I am logged in under my Surname, my previous visit and that I have 30 credits.
I looked up My Details and found that all three password places were blank
I filled in the latest password and confirmed it.
Clicked on Update Details
The form that I have just filled in comes back minus the password, and in red printing says, "Password is incorrect"
I continued to put in the details of  my mother's birth which I know is in the database.
Clicked on "Search" - The message says "last search found no matches"
The last message I had from them was I needed to wait for the regular  next day business.  I started this on Oct. 7.

Hi NIina - Thanks for your interest. I use Internet Explorer and my PC is about two years old, with about a year's usage on it.

Hi NIna - Yes, that is the first thing I have done, once I have the new password.  Then I click on the area that I want, fill in the necessary details, and then click SEARCH, but nothing comes up but a message that it is not there.  I tried even the entries that I know are there, and I get the same information.
thanks for your interest.

Hi Dave - thanks for  your help.  Everything worked using Java, as I tried the sample document, and saw all that was there to be viewed. I paid, I have my 30 credits, but whatever password they have given to me (4), none of them have worked, when I put in the information for which I was looking.  Is there some step that I have missed?
I have never had trouble before.

Hi All  - Have any of you been having any trouble trying to get onto Schotland's People. I have been approved, got my 30 points, but when I put in my username and my password that has been given to me, nothing works. In the last couple of days, I have been given four different passwords, and nothing opens up any information for me.
I need help.  The helpI have received hasn't worked for me, but did a year ago when I contacted and received genealogical information.

Thanks Joe and Hume.  With your efforts I have been able to extend the Leitch family, of which I knew nothing.
