Photograph Resources, Tips, Tutorials / Photographs on Screensaver or wallpaper

I'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to resolutions, pixels and sizing photographs.....it just doesn't seem to sink in .. can somebody please tell me what size canvas is the best when you want to put pictures on your computer screen.  I'm trying to blend two school photographs together for my daughter to put on her computer  and my mind's gone completely blank.  I have have Photoshop and use to use it quite a lot ... but can't seem to get back into it ... memory's gone.
Thank you

Westmorland Lookup Requests / Re: 1768 Crosby Ravensworth lookup please

Hello again Gillian,

What a nice surprise after all this time ....... I didn't find any more about Joshua either... so I gave up.  I went as far back as I could with all my families then got as much information as I could, finally I had it all bound into a book of over 500 pages.  I updated it all when the 1911 census came out and have just sent it all off to be bound again into a second book.
I daren't  look now...in case I find something new and have to update again ...lol

It's nice to see you're still keeping up the good work .... once I get all my info in hard copy AGAIN!! I just might go back to researching and visit Crosby again, so thankyou for that Ellwood info....I'll hang on to it.
So nice to hear from you

I have nothing to add Moira but it lets others know we are all still connected to the thread.  What you have found sounds very interesting, the tobacco wholesaler sounds right and the piece on Leeds Infirmary would put him still in Leeds in 1790.

So very sorry to hear your sad news Claire .... your dad put a lot of footwork in for the benefit of us all on the Co Durham Forum.

He will be sadly missed.

Hi Jan & Tommi,

If you can't get in touch with Ron, I have the letters from Mary Fothergill of Brownber Cottage, they are to a Miss Isabel and her sister in 1909......you kindly sent me the letters Jan.

There is no mention of anybody called Michael but they may throw some light on your Yorkshire Fothergill branch of the family..... and they are lovely to read .... very interesting and so many people mentioned.

It just shows that the Fothergills were interested in their ancestors so many years ago.

As Jan says Tommi ..... you will have to make a few more posts before you can receive private messages....... then I can send them to you
