Thanks Valda
Yes william taylor did marry Amy Pruce and I have the puce line back to about 1500's What I dont understand we were always told Williams dad was a William as well and a publican. This came from william junior daughter who is still alive and recalls being taken to the public house to see her grandfather odd but I think you are right

Thanks

I have a Horace Taylor born Reenhall? Norfolk on the 1881 cencus he was listed as Publican out of business Tower Hamlets, It does not list which public house this was I wonder if anyone may know. the address 14 Vernor Road Bow Aka Stratford Le Bow Middlesex.  He had a son William H Taylor born 1861 who was also listed and have been told he was a publican in the area of Blackfriers I can see a William Taylor on 1891 Post office directory as a beer retailer  if this is the same man

William Taylor also had a son William who married Amy Pruce

Any help tracing Horace and William 1 would be great

Thanks

I wonder if any body can help me with the name of a boy in this photograph we know the boy on the left is Harry Garrett born 1899. We possibly think the other boy is a Newton or Bishop who lived Piltdown Mother Sarah Bishop nee Hartley her first husband was a Newton died 1904 she later married Edwin Bishop c1906 . The photo is at Piltdown Golf Club

Any help would be great
