I have for some time been trying to find my great grandmother in the 1911 census.
In 1901 they were in Westbury William Hayter was a police constable wife MaryAnne was there with him cant find the family in 1911.I ordered a death cert 1925 for a MaryAnne Hayter but it was the wrong family..Any ideas or help greatly appreciated

Richard Thomas Burke born 1829 Westmeath Ireland.
Death Malmsbury Victoria Australia 18th October 1891.
Marriage to Ellen Powell 1854 Victoria Australia.
Ellen Powell  born 1832. Death 1899.

I have the information here in Australia hoping for something in Westmeath,no idea where or what county they are from.

Richard Burke married Mary Madden
son Thomas married Elizabeth Morris
Son Richard Thomas arrived Australia 1847

Tara my mistake I have Richards history from 1847 onwards.I have been trying to find the family in Westmeath
His parents were Thomas Burke (the trader)and Elizabeth Morris.He was born c1826 no knowledge of any siblings also been unable to trace how he arrived in Australia in 1847.

Richard married Ellen Powel from Killarney Ireland1854.

Can anyone advise me on traders in Westmeath.
On my ggrandfathers Richard Burke marriage cert 1854 he states his father Thomas Burke was a trader.

I have been unable to trace Richard so hoping this may be a helpful hint :-\

Amazing our grandfathers could have known each other!! Do you know much about the hospitals they were transferred too. I think Lewisham was near London, I found a photo of the ship St David.

Yes I intend to read all I can now, my pop was a wonderful man and I have many fond memories of him.He came home from the war it was then he met my grandmother In Malmsbury Victoria.

Thanks for your reply, I was struggling with which battle he would have been involved in his records offer very little info.This photo was taken in Lewisham hospital England.
