I would appear to be going round in circles and would appreciate some guidance on this problem.

I have a family on the 1851 census at Hillhead of Ardo

William Simpson        head  aged  34  Farm Lab   Born Methlick
Jessie Hog                 wife   aged  25                  Born Ellon
William Simpson        son    aged    5                  Born Methlick
Elizabeth Simpson     dau    aged    2                  Born Methlick
William  Simpson       son    aged    2 mths          Born Methlick

I have William Simpson marrying in 1893 aged  28 parents as above?

I have Jessie Hogg dying aged 75 in 1901 widow of William Simpson.

Any help with my conundrum would be most appreciated.

The attached photo was found in old suit case of photos and documents belonging to a cousin of mine and neither of us can identify who the couple is.
I am looking for any details on the photo that may give us a clue as to who they were.

Hi All

I have an image at work from a painting of the gentleman named above and I was wondering if anyone was prepaired to have a go at doing it up for me.

The problem I have at the moment is that I do not have any software at work to reduce the file size
the file is approx 900kb and the only way I can move this file is by email. I have changed my profile so that any emails come to my work in box.
