Nottinghamshire / Please is anyone visiting Nottingham archives ?
« on: Wednesday 24 June 15 17:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi

If by chance anyone is visiting the Nottinghamshire archives please could I ask for a look up in the ORIGINAL parish records for

Etty Hemsley born 1794 Basford Notingham to parents Richard and Esther

The reason I ask is that I wondered if by any chance this could be Eddy ( Edward) and not Etty

PS.. I do know there was a previous Etty born in 1792 and buried in 1793 to the same couple.

Hi all

A Long Shot but please could anyone with access to the Nottinghamshire parish records please have a look for a marriage between

Thomas Butler and Sarah Carr

The ONLY information I have on this couple is that they Baptised a son

Thomas Butler born 29 Aug 1833 and Baptised 1 Sep 1833 at SAINT JOHN THE EVANGELIST ROMAN CATHOLIC,NOTTINGHAM.

This is the only link to them I have.
I cant track the above Thomas and Sarah on any census,

I'm trying to find out if they are the parents of my relative Thomas Butler 1834c Nottingham, who later married Fanny (Frances) Wagstaff in 1857 St Mary's Nottingham.and listed his father as Thomas Butler FWK ( Frame Work Knitter)

Thomas and Fanny also baptised their children RC in St Barnabas R C, Nottingham I have all their children and indeed their deaths Only one child Catherine born 1866( Kate) survived childhood.( My Grandmother)

Thomas Butler 1834c I have on all census AFTER his marriage to Fanny( Frances )Wagstaff.but nothing prior to marriage in 1857

Bedfordshire / Shefford parish records
« on: Sunday 15 February 15 16:08 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Please could anyone with access to the Shefford Parish records help with this query ?

John Wright born 1801c Shefford, Bedfordshire
married Unknown and had the following children

Martha 1824 Shefford, Bedfordshire
Maria 1832 Shefford, Bedfordshire
Elizabeth 1842 Shefford, Bedfordshire
Samuel 1844 Shefford, Bedfordshire
John 1847 Shefford, Bedfordshire
Edward 1849  Shefford, Bedfordshire

I suspect given the gaps there are additional Children

This information taken from the 1851 census

I cant track the family in the 1841 which would hopefully give a wife's name, given that there were children born up to 1849

Please if anyone can provide and additional baptism /marriage information I would much appreciate any help

Regards Judi
