We cant find him on the 1901 census. We know he was posted with the armed forces in either Ireland or Egypt.

His wifes name was Annie Eva Hamilton.

Thanks.

I've gotta agree with Nick, the "Show new replies to your posts" link is an excellent addition. Like Kazza said, I dont know I managed before it was added.

Oh, by the way Ticker, your sites still not working.  ;D

Wendy,

When James got married in 1888 he was 33, so we think he was born in 1855/56.

Rutti Tutti,

We dont think this is him but we will double check just in case. Thanks for looking.

Carl.

Sue,

The only other thing we can come up with is this:-

When John got married in 1893 his father (Robert) was deceased. Maybe he died just after John was born. Are there any John William Browns living with their mother who is widowed?

Thanks.

Hi Sue,

All I can say is that the 1891 census return (kindly provided by Nicky, details bellow) show that he was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. He has been realy hard to track down so far so any help would be great.

Thanks

Carl
