Completed Census Requests / Re: 1851/1861 Yorkshire (Bradford?) request ROWNTREE

The earliest info i have is from the 1881 census where the family are living in North Bierley. I know that they moved to Bowling after that, so Bowling is probably a no go.

This is all I know, the birth register only says Bradford and I haven't looked at the 1871 census yet.

I'm at work at the moment, when I get home I'll see if I have any other info.

The only thing I can tell you before I get home is that when he got married and had a family (c1869) I think he was living in bowling. Not 100% sure about this though.

Trying to find information on a John William Brown born 1868.

We dont know if John was born in Romford, but we do know that he got married there so we are assuming that he was.
We know that his fathers name was Robert Brown but we dont know when he was born either.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Theres one at Hunslet Cemetery nr Leeds.
On the back it reads something along the lines of:-

"If you wish to lead a healthy life, abstain from intoxicating drinks, then you may live out the days that were alloted to you".

A dead alcoholic maybe?

I'm looking for any info on a Fred Rowntree, born 1849 (june qtr) in Bradford.

As i found out yesterday though, Rowntree may be spelled Roundtree (a problem that I'm still having these days).

Thanks

Celia,

The Fred Rowntree you are looking at is Fred and Hannah's son. I knew he married a woman named Rosetta but I didn't know her last name.

Not sure about the Fred Clayton Rowntree thing though. I'll check it out when I get a chance.

Thanks again.

Celia,

Thats got to be them. No wonder we couldn't find them with the spelling, never thought of checking that.

Prehaps William Clayton was his father, it would explain the middle name.

Thanks for looking for me.

I'm looking for Charles William Rowntree who was born 1888 in Bradford.
I'm also intrested in finding Ada Emily Rowntree born 1869 Bradford and Fred Rowntree born 1849 in Bradford.

I have found Ada in the 1881 census returns along with the rest of her family. A search of the 1891 census for Bowling that was done by someone else for me shows that the family were living there but Ada, her father Fred and Charles are all missing. Freds wife Hannah is still married in this census so he must be somewhere. I have also checked the 1901 census. Charles now appears with the rest of the family but Ada is still missing. Fred must have died between 1891 and 1901 as Hannah is now widowed.

Ada was not married to Charles father. Both the birth and marriage certificates for Charles do not state a fathers name. I'm hoping that where ever they were in 1891 may give a few more clues.

Any other advise on where to go next would also be welcomed.
