Thank you, it’s been a while since I did any family history, I didn’t realise about the 1911 lookups. I’ll go look thanks Rosie, I just need to get through the registration..... that’s new too! 😀

Hi,

Please could someone do a lookup for me in the 1851 census for Anthoney Turnbull, born circa 1825, married to Barbarra Durnbull (Ancestry's transcription) in Durham, I can't see any more details than that.  Also the 1861 when he is then married to Isabella, I really need his birthplace.  Many thanks  :)

Hello ladies,

I've just discovered this thread, Emily Roshannah Devey (Simpson, Simpkins) was my GG Grandmother, I have a 4 page description of her and her family written by my Grandma (her Granddaughter, daughter of Charles Simpkins) for my school 'portrait of a Victorian Lady' project in the late 1970's.
I've been looking into this family (not so much the Gallachers) for years and have copies of lots of documents, including her two marriage certs and birth cert Nat, Ed and Valentine's baptisms on the same day in Gateshead of all places and nats master mariners cert.  If you'd like an answer to anything I'll see if I have the answer.   ;D

If you have their approximate death date then a phonecall to the cemetery office based in Acklam cemetery could be really useful as they hold the burial records there and should be able to look them up for you.  :)

Teesside archives has a lot of info on this subject as according to this page there were 35 companies involved in the iron and steel industry on Teesside.  :o

My family were moulders and boilermakers but I've not got round to visiting yet  :)

Sorry Devey 1810 I didn't realise there was an answer on this thread and it's nearly a year old!!  Yes I am descended from Nathaniel Devey, Edward 1810's brother  ;D
