Cemetery Records at CEMSEARCH are only inscriptions of Surviving Headstones, although you may find yours there.

The Burial records at the Salford History Library are very limited :(

I might be able to help with Peel Green, Weaste, Agecroft and Swinton Cemeteries.

Who is it your looking for, and do you have a year???

Thanks Finbar, I now need to find some sort of record to find out how long he was in :)

There is an open day at Salford Fire Station on the 25th of this month, so will go to that, and see if they have any info

I decided to search for records for my Grandad, but I don't know where to start, if there would be any records etc etc, I have his Badge, which just says AFS Salford.

He was with them in WW2, but I don't know how long he was in, when he started, or when he finished, also would he of been entitiled to any medals ???

Any info appreciated

Am I ok to add you on Facebook, I can then link the Map to you, I can't post it here as it may contravene  copyright

I would Imagine he is buried in Weaste Cemetery or Agecroft.

As you have a near enough date, ringing Agecroft, should turn up a result.
A D grave would suggest he is buried in the Dissenters section/s, ie non-religious.

I think with that number it is more likely to be Weaste, I can check that out for you, if you want :), Actually, just thought I can check both Cemeteries for you :)
