Hi Spidermonkey,
Thanks for your reply. I like the idea of the numbers against the names, so will try that and see how I go.
Regards,
Julie

The Common Room / Confusing family
« on: Wednesday 13 January 10 05:08 GMT (UK)  »
Anne* married Bob (*not real names) and had a number of children, 2 named Carol and Debbie. Bob died, or they divorced.
Anne married Edward who had a number of brothers, some we will name Fred, George and Harry.
Anne's daughter Carol married Fred, in the same year.
George fatally shot Anne, Edward and then himself.
The following year Debbie married Harry.
Shades of "I'm my own grampa"???? OH laughed until he cried when this was all discovered.
How on earth do I put all this into our family tree, without repetitions of Anne, Bob, etc???

Hi Janice,
Thanks for the photos of Hannah Murphy's headstone, they came through wonderfully clear.
I haven't thanked you via my email address directly, as it is suddenly attracting all the spam regarding pills and body parts, etc!! Suspect the grandchildren have been "playing" while I am at work.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know I received them, and I'm sorry you were worried when you couldn't find them.
Best wishes,
Julie

Jamjar,
I apologise for not responding earlier, have a houseful of grandchildren who are not allowed on the net (grandma's boring), and the internet at work has not been working. Thank you very much for getting the photo, and I hope you enjoyed the story about "our" Hannah. How can I get the photo? Can I PM you with my email address?
One strange coincidence - re the name Jenkins -Hannah was transported for
stealing handkerchiefs and an apron from the house of Jennifer (?) Jenkins, in Wales.
Best wishes, and if I can ever assist, I will be more than happy.
Thanks again,
Julie

Cando, thanks for looking for Hannah.
Jamjar, Unfortunately, not the same Hannah Williams. she was married to Micheal Murphy, a marine on the Sirius, first fleet.

Hope you all have a great day  ;D ;D

Hi Jamjar,
It is a wonderful offer, as tedscout has said. I wonder if you could look for Hannah Williams, died 1857, please.
I know there was a reunion in Warrnambool a number of years ago, and the descendants of Hannah had a memorial stone placed for her.
I would much appreciate a photo, but if not possible, then many thanks for your offer anyway.

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Regards,
Julie
