if you google Auchmountain laundry Greenock then scroll down to images there is a picture of Auchmountain Laundry, sadly not the building it looks like an advertiment poster  the building wont exist now this area has went through a lot of changes over the years

The birth records for the named children above, according to catholic registers on Scotland's people the parents names are Daniel McCormick and Jesmina Dillon all born in Greenock there is no marriage on SP for a Daniel or Jesmina

I remember the Well park parish church being demolished it is the one in the picture on the Greenock then and now site, the buildings beside the church are the Well park buildings they are still there, new houses built on this site, East Kirk, the picture in the second link sugarbakers posted,the one with the blue car at the junction of Lynedoch street and Regent street on the site now is East kirk Court, not sure if the church at the corner of Regent street was west Kirk but will try and find out tomorrow, new flats built on this site too,

sorry I cant get a link for it but if you google, when did Crawfurdsburn church and Cartsdyke church merge it will show up as a newspaper index,pdf, all the buildings on the site now are all industrial units.

I remember the church building but I am not sure when it was demolished,
I also remember looking for pictures for someone else on here and not finding any but remember
finding that Crawfurdsburn church and Cartsdyke church merged with each other in 1981, also found that the church was built in 1865 and was later extended in 1872, I will see if I can find a link to this info

Why cant they just leave things alone when they work,
instead of searching names AB to AY
they have changed it to search by year 1800- 1825
really ??? a lot of people dont know what year they are looking for,
whereas  they at least knew a name, now you have to look through all names for
those years to see if yours is on it,
I lasted all of two minutes before I got fed up
