i think its the cemetery, it was my dad who took me there and i sed i wanted the cemetery, there was no church attached to it. I came across the MI for william john his wife and his dad ( there all on the same stone) quite by accident at the Lincoln Archive centre then my dad took me down there to see them for myself (i live in cleethorpes)

While we was there my dad Remembered there was a Joseph (his mothers brother). We strolled just to haved a look at the war memorials and there he was!

I will also find out if they have WJ obit, i have Dates of death for them all. I never thought about getting obits for them, im quite new to doing my family history.

The help on here is amazing. i am so grateful to you

i havent found them in the 1901, i just thought id concentrate on the one at the moment. its his mother i need.

All i know, as i said my dad didnt knowhis family, is that they are buried in alford cemetery thats where ive got the dates from. William John senior was a naval petty officer and a painter. i think he would have been born about 1837ish

Trying to trace the surname Baker in Alford, Parish of Spilsby.

My grt Grandparents were William john  baker and Maud Annie Hayes. Williams father was also William John Baker died 1919 aged 82 who was a petty naval officer. This is as far back as i can get, my dad doesn't know anything himself, never knew his family any help would be appreciated. Also looking for Maud and WJ's son Joseph Died 13th Jan 1942  When HMS Europa was bombed.
