England / Jane Lampard

I am trying to trace a marriage for Jane Lampard born 1827 in Sussex. Her family actually came from the Frindsbury area in Kent and on the 1841 census she is shown with her family as living in Kent, but
born in Sussex (as was her brother Joseph) so one must assume the family relocated for a while before moving back to Kent. Incidentally, her parents were Stephen Maynard Lampard and Jane Silver.
I found a possible marriage for her in Greenwich, Vol 5 Pg 393 Dec qtr 1850. If this is correct, then she married James Smith Nickalls.
I found an 1851 census record for Jane Nickalls and Jane Nickalls (one of which was obviously an incorrect transcribe as original record shows James!) but both of these people show being born in Kent. I cannot find a later census record for either of them.
Its possible Jane put her place of birth down as Kent as she probably spent most of her life there, but I am making a lot of suppositions and I would appreciate another pair of eyes and another person's opinion on this one.
