"Top of the Town is that part of Church Street, Old Glossop that runs from the junction of Thorpe Street to just before the the Bulls Head. It is a stretch of elevated road that looks down on the old Duke of Norfolks school and the Parish Church,  Old Glossopian born and bred.

I have a memo from the Hong Kong police dated 9th November 1898 to the Garrison Major, Murray Barracks telling of a rickshaw accident involving Private Robinson. From such sketchy details is it possible to find the regiment?

.Bennet Joseph Fraser was the brother of my wifes grandfather David Fraser ( her father was called Joseph Bennet Fraser). On the record of David Fraser's marriage his usual residence is given as 5 Raining Stairs, Castle Street, Inverness and his father David Fraser tailor.On the 1901 census Bennet Fraser aged 5 is shown as living with his widowed mother and brother David at 2 Bissots Close Inverness.
