Remakel is more commonly found in The United States than any other country/territory so a good place to start looking. Francis Remakel is listed on white pages but you will need to look him up yourself as unable to share links on here. He died in 1994 in Cook, Illinois aged 73 so a great deal older than the advert which you quote from. Family search then list someone with almost an identical name (spelt with an i) and also born in 1921 as still living in 1995  :o :o

Le Courier advert says M.F.Remakel- M could stand for Monsieur but is that assumption on the podcast producers part.

Thank you so much everyone,

It is such a big history lesson for me about name changes.
I love studying geneology and the whole deed poll thing really fascinates me.

I thought that enemy aliens were forbidden to change their names so the whole Jungblut change made me curious. Thank you for clarifying with the link Bookbox.

Thank you, it is certainly an interesting surname to look at. There were another two deedpoll changes with the Jungblut surname and only one female Jungblut seems to have married in the UK in recent years which was in 1997.

I have been looking at the Junglbut surname in the UK and find it fascinating that Louis H K H Jungblut changed his name by deepoll too George Ernest Grahame after WW2.
I would love to find out a little bit more about this person as he is intriguing. There is a listing on ancestory but I am not currently a member. Could anyone give me some more insight please.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Re: Pamela Veronica Marjorie V Wright (Nielson)

Thank you. I have established now that she changed her name from Marjorie to Pamela Veronica Wright and her date of death was 2nd March 2013 in Warwickshire. The Marjorie I am looking for was a Jane Doe in 1979 so could not be the same person.

I was looking through the 1939 census to try and find the identity of a 1979 Jane Doe possibly from Stepney who was called Marjorie. I came across 153 Saint Mary Home, Stamford Hill, Hackney, London. There is a person with the middle name Marjorie living with the sisters of Mercy and I wondered if there is any further information about her please like a recorded marriage or a death.

Carole W, a coroners report is taking place and there is a police investigation in Australia as to her possible whereabouts so it is uncertain what exactly surrounds the details of the person mentioned.
