Honeybun  :) and others,

I wonder whether some people get enthusiastic about it all to start,  hit all the sites and message boards,  than realise it is not as straightforward as they thought it was going to be.  Maybe they have experiences that dis-illusion them,  people do not return mails,  that sort of thing.  Then it all losses it's appeal,  but they don't remove themselves from lists and boards.

Also,  sometimes life gets in the way,  and genealogy has to take a back-seat.  Maybe they will get re-enthused,  maybe they will move on to another interest.  Not everyone is as dedicated as we are.  ;D

Good Luck,

Kazza.

Peter,

Good point,  a lot more PM'ing goes on than most people are aware of I think.  I get 10-15 PM's a day,  and I am sure regular looker-uppers get lots too.

Sue,

I recently was off-line for nearly a month due to a series of unfortunate events,  maybe one of these corespondents is having problems.

Please don't let these upsetting experiences put you off sharing your information,  some people can turn out to be lovely,  helpful and friendly.  I have had only good experiences with sharing my data,   so far,  I did wait several months for one of them to get back to me though.  But when we finally made contact we got on great,  and I learnt a lot from the contact.

I have been cursed. I just sent an email to the the local parish preist. If i get an email bounce from him I think Athlone might be tha mythical Brigadoon which sleeps for a hundred years. ??? :D

deadants.

P.S. Kazza, do you  ever sleep?

Not much,

Maybe I ought to move to Athlone/Brigadoon.   ::)

I can't imagine the church will bombard you with junk.

Keep us posted.  ;)

Deadants,

That is a bit steep.  :o

Good luck with the castle and the papers though.  and keep us posted on your progress.

Maybe someone else has another idea for Deadants to follow up?

Sue,

That sounds a lovely idea,  I have a Bara Brith(Fruit loaf) recipe that has been passed down my family,  it is good to keep these things.

Hmm,

Not exactly busy is it?  From one posters comments they seem to have cleared out all her messages.

Nora,

I did not mean http://www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk/,  I meant the Register office.  I looked for their link,  but it does not work.

Sorry,

Kazza.
