Can anyone identify these people.

I know she was my Dad's aunt so she could be Ellen Wood, or Sarah Boyd but I do not know.  She may have been from my grandmother's side of the family.

I am looking for any information that anyone may have on my following relatives:

The information I have is limited.

John McGladdery was born in Ballycor in 1823, his father was called John I have no information on his mother though a John McGladdery wa married to a Jennet about 1775 in Ballycor and they had a son called John in 1786 in Ballycor.  I was wondering if this was the grandparent of John McGladdery (born 1823) in Ballycor.

John (1823) married Ellen Strange (born 1827 Ballycor) in 1848 in Ballyeaston, Antrim.

They had six children that I am aware of all christened in Ballyeaston.

Thomas John   Baptised 12 Feb 1849
Jane  Hay        Baptised 12 Feb 1851  (my great grandmother)
Mary               Baptised 13 Nov 1852
Sarah              Baptised 23 Sep 1854
Margaret Allen  Baptised 10 Dec 1857
Anne                Baptised 28 Jan 1862

Jane Hay Mcgladdery married James Boyd on 04.11.1870 at Ballynure Presbyterian Church.

They had three children that I am aware of all born in Doagh.

Ellen Jane     25.11.1870
William John  12.06.1872  (my grandfather)
Sarah            06.05.1875

I have no information on James Boyd, when he was born and who his parents were.  He is my great grandfather but all I know nothing about him.  On his son's wedding certificate in 1903 his occupation is stated as mechanic.

William John Boyd married Elizabeth Kate Sealy on 03.12.1903 at Albertbridge Congregational Church, Knockbreda, Belfast.  They had my father William George Boyd on 25.01.1909.

I know that they were tailors and lived in Portallo Street.  William John died in 1917 and Elizabeth Kate in the 1941 Belfast Blitz.

I have no information on where Elizabeth came from, on her wedding certificate her father is stated as John dec'd. it does not give her age.

William John's sister Ellen married Samuel Stafford Woods in Ballynure Church of Ireland 15.08.1889.

I have a photo of one of my Dad'd aunts but I do not know if it is on William Boyd's or Elizabeth Sealy's side.

Any information would really be appreciated.
Jenny :)

Hi Rachel

I really am most grateful for your time you have spent on this.

I believe these are my relatives.   I have been trying to check them for a little while.

William John was married  to Elizabeth Kate Sealy (my grandparents).

William's father was stated as James a mechanic on their wedding certificate.
Jane McGladdery is the only name that fits all the other details.

I know that he had a sister called Ellen who married a Mr Woods because her signature was on a document concerning William and Elizabeth and she was stated as his sister  and her address as I said before.

I have been unable to find reference to her marriage or any trace of their sister Sarah yet.

kind regards
Jenny

Hi Rachel

In 1903 her brother William John Boyd (a tailor) got married and his address was 255 North Queen Street, Belfast.

On a form lin 1916 Ellen's address is given as 255 North Queens Street.

I am wondering if that address was the family home and she stayed there after she married or whether it was her home and William was staying with her.

I have no information as to her age, who she married apart from the fact her name had changed to Ellen Wood.

I do not have access to the 1901 or 1911 Irish census.
