Hi Jane & Andrea, thank you for the info i will have to do a bit more research before me & my mum drive over to Sussex, she is so eager to see the villages and sourounding areas, from what iv read it looks to be a beautiful part of the country.
My uncle who has since passed away started the tree many years ago, and over the last 6 months i have added allot more to it thanks to the internet. He originally found James Burchfield & wife Mary 1977ish in Sussex & they had 10 children from 1795 to 1815 which some iv found as birth slaugham.
Iv also got my gggrandfather Alfred burchfield b1842 slaugham married Mary lewry 1845 hammer hill cuckfield. also his father Joseph 1807 slaugham married Rhoda overington 1806 b wisborough green.
I have found lots more over the past few months so I'm sure that i will find some trance of them in the area, I cant wait. :)
many thanks
Martha :)

Sussex / info on cemetries

Hi, iv found that on my mothers side of the family (Burchfield) lived in Sussex and have managed to go back to 1777 and still have lots more to find. I would like to take my mum over to Sussex to see if we can find any burials but we are both unfamiliar with the area, we are travelling from Essex. My ancestors came from slaugham, warninglid, cuckfield, rusper, lower beeding, which i think these villages are quite close to each other, is there one main cemeteries or a few for this area. any help will be grateful,
many thanks
