Thank you for the Auckland ones - Myles must have been born slightly later!

Much obliged!

Paul

No problems. As you have probably read on another thread about this particular website, other people have not found it to be very accurate and have been dissapointed with it's content...  I guess there is always the chance that Miles is one of the 'missing' entries.

Hi craggus

If I'm in the first four, could you have a look for children of William CLARK and Elizabeth COATES - in County DURHAM.  I have Miles/Myles c1920 but that's all at the moment.

thanks (fingers crossed!)

Paul

Hi Paul

Robert M. Clark     b: 1916 Q3 - Auckland
Lilian V.  Clark    b: 1919 Q1 - Auckland

Hi Craig,

a fantastic offer, thank you !

can you see if you can find a marriage for me, please: ?
Dora Coleman married Webb, in London between 1910 and 1920

Thanks
Bob

Bob,

John Henry Coleman and Florence Moore married Q1 1914 in London.

There were four children born in London between 1912 and 1920 with surname Coleman and mothers maiden name Moore (you will have to decide how likely it is that they are from your marriage!):
Henry H   b:1913 Q4 - St George Hanover Square
James C   b:1915 Q3 - Southwark
Ruby E     b:1918 Q3 - Lambeth
Joseph W   b:1920 Q3 - Lambeth

There were 3 marriages between WEBB and COLEMAN in London 1912-1920, but none called Dora.

Greetings,

As a "thankyou" to this site for all the help it has provided me with so far, I thought I would do a small something in return. I have a few credits left on the familyrelatives.org site which are due to expire tonight. Rather than let them go to waste, I am offering to do a couple of free look-ups for the first people to post on this thread.

The best feature of this site is the mothers maiden name feature of all births Q3 1911 through to 1920, and the wifes maiden name for all searches 1912 - 1920. So my offer is this:

Supply me with a surname, a mothers maiden name and a county and I will give you a list of all the children that were born during 1911(Q3)-1920 that fit those criteria.

OR

Supply me with a Christian name and surname, plus partners surname and a county I will give you marriage details of any that fit 1912-1920.

Limited to one lookup per person... I only have a few credits left so this offer is available to the FIRST FOUR REPLIES ONLY!

Craig  :)

Hi Casalguidi

Here's what it says on the site:

Quote
If you wish to write for a search and/or copy, you should write to The Postal Searches & Copies Dept, York Probate Sub-Registry, Castle Chambers, Clifford Street, York, YO1 9RG, where a special unit deals with such requests. Click here to download an application form, or view their Conditions of Service.

This is exactly what I did!

Looks like it's a Royal Mail error, will send it off again and see what happens   :-\

Family History Beginners Board / Wills - Postal Application

Hi all,

About a month ago I found a couple of family members in the National Probate Calendars and wanted to send off for a copy of their wills. After consulting a number of books, I found that I needed to apply to the York Probate Registry (Castle Chambers, Clifford Street, York. YO1 9RG)

That was over a month ago. This morning I received my letter back from Royal Mail with a note saying that they could not deliver it as the addressee no longer existed!

Does anyone know the address I need to send my application and cheque to?

Many Thanks

Craig  :)
