Anglesey Lookup Requests / Amlwch Williams
« on: Thursday 25 October 07 12:30 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
this is what I have found so far.  I have EDWARD WILLIAMS married to ANN JONES living in Liverpool 1881 census confirmed by address on grandmothers birth certificate of 325 Westminster Road with several children.

On the census says he was born 1835 in Amlwch, other census info I have received only says Wales.  I found EDWARD with a sister ELIZABETH born in Amlwch to LEWIS WILIAMS and ELIZABETH HUGHES married 1823.

Is there any way of confirming this information, does anyone else have these people in their trees?

(entering the Williams, Jones, Hughes nightmare)
Thank you

Lancashire / Anne Williams - William Parry
« on: Thursday 27 September 07 14:21 BST (UK)  »
I am having trouble.  I have a birth certificate of my grandmother Anne Gwenvron PARRY May 20, 1901, that states her father as WILLIAM PARRY (Grocer's Assistant) and mother ANNE PARRY formerly WILLIAMS registered in West Derby Kirkdale, Liverpool.
I also have a marriage certificate for my grandmother dated Dec 10, 1926 that states that her father WILLIAM PARRY (deceased) at time of marriage.
I am in Canada, and have contacted the few relatives that I know from my mother's side of the family, and no one seems to have any information on Anne WILLIAMS or William PARRY.  From what my own mother had told me, Anne WILLIAMS was one of a twin but her brother died prior to christening.  Any informtaion of their births would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Argyllshire / Cushingham anyone?
« on: Friday 21 September 07 18:30 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I have a marriage certificate of my grandparents, Alexander Campbell Reid and Annie Cushingham, m Dec 31, 1919.  Annie's parents are James Cushingham and Annie MacLean.  I cannot seem to find any records for Cushingham's in any of the places I generally look (familysearch.org) for the most part.  I am not even sure if the family is from Scotland or immigrated from Ireland.  Could someone help to point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks
June-Anne - Canada

Anglesey Lookup Requests / Ann Jones Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf
« on: Wednesday 29 August 07 01:01 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I have been handed down a small thumb bible which is in Welsh printed by W. Clowes, Duke Street, Lambeth.  The inscription on the inside is Mifs Ann Jones (next part in Welsh, not sure if I can read the writing) what looks like "Penbererjarreg" Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf October 17, 1853.  It came down through my grandmother Anne Gwenvron Parry b. May 1901 Lancashire W. Derby, who's father was William Parry (Master Grocer) and mother Anne Williams (from Gwenvron's birth certificate).  I am not certain if the bible came from my g-grandmothers side or grandfathers.  I am assuming (bad thing assumption) that it is maternal insticts that send heirlooms down the line.  Now I have found out that there was an Anne Jones christened 1845 Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf to Hugh b. 1811 and Jane b.1818 Jones Llanfair-Mathafarn-Eithaf but it kind of throws me off due to the spelling of Anne.  I am having a time trying to connect the two links and why the inscription is dated 1853.  Any information would be hugely appreciated.   Thank you, June-Anne Canada.
