I have both marriage extracts of the children born in Ireland none of which states location in Ireland, I have death extract for Michael Kelly which does not state location in Ireland although I havn' t managed to obtain a death cert for Ellen Kelly, I havn't got my records at hand but i'm sure she married a McCullogh in Port Glasgow, I,l try locating this death cert maybe it will say, Thanks for the suggestion, I,ve checked census from port glasgow they are on 1851 1861 1871 1881 census but does not state whereabouts in Ireland.
Just to correct a bit in the above post my ellen kelly married a duncan Mcfadgen and not a mccullogh ::)

Renfrewshire / Re: drowning in 1875

I hope you've found information regarding this posting but just incase you havn't I hope this may help.  I also had an ancestor that died in the clyde, whilst fishing (a think he may have had a wee drink at the time right enough) but I managed to obtain a death certificate for him, I think with a case of drowning it has to be determined if it was accidental or not. You can obtain an extract of a report/post mortem (if in Scotland) from a very nice lady at New Register House in Edinburgh:

e-mail:   roslyn-robertson[replace with 'at' symbol]groscotland.gsi.gov.uk
 or  write to:        EXTRACT SERVICES
                            NEW REGISTER HOUSE
                            EDINBURGH  EH1 3YT
Hope this information may be useful for other researchers also.

Thanx all for taking the time to reply ;). All replies were useful (and grateful) as to finding out where Pullans actually is, however I am unsure if this is my CAMPBELL. The Campbells I am researching are:

BERNARD & MARGARET CAMPBELL nee HAGAN/HOGAN & children:-

HUGH CAMPBELL born IRELAND roughly 1857
FRANCIS CAMPBELL born IRELAND roughly 1860
ARTHUR CAMPBELL born PORT GLASGOW 1862
MARGARET ANN CAMPBELL born PORT GLASGOW 1864
PATRICK CAMPBELL born PORT GLASGOW 1867
SARAH CAMPBELL born PORT GLASGOW 1871
Any information relating to these CAMPBELLS would be greatly appreciated.

Could someone please help with my query! I have a Hugh Campbell who signed the Ulster Covenant in the Orange Halls in Port Glasgow but I am unable to find out where it is. It looks like Pullars in County Antrim. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, and thanks to everyone who has replied to my query ;).When I posted my query I only posted a few details but my Kelly family did indeed come to Port Glasgow Scotland, Daniel & Cecelia had 2 children in Ireland (possibly more) but they had a son Michael and a daughter Ellen in Ireland, I have managed to obtain all possible BDM'S relating to my family in Port Glasgow and nothing states which part of Ireland they came from!!! :-\
