Lancashire / Lancashire Museums to close Helmshore Mill, Queen Mill and more set to follow !!

Lancashire council has announced plans to close 5 of Lancashire Museums, Queen Street Mill in Burnley, Helmshore Textile Mill in Rossendale, Museum of Lancashire, Fleetwood Museum and the Judges Lodges house' in Lancaster. These are due to close in less than 4 months yes April 2015.
The Council plan to close a further 6 more within 18 months including Lancaster Castle, Lancaster City Museum, Lancaster Cottage Museum, Clitheroe Castle and Gawthorpe Hall.
The Mills and Museum's of Lancashire are not only part of all our history but they generate income for the surrounding cafe's and businesses and employ local people and have become a hub for the community with yearly fair and special events.
