Hello

I am trying to find a birth record and ancestors of James Corbett (alt Corbitt) born abt 1798 in Woodthorpe, Leicestershire.

He is listed as coming from Woodthorpe on the 1851 and 1861 Hinckley census'.

I appreciate this is a longshot although if anybody can find a record of his birth or of his ancestors i would be most grateful.

I am trying to locate the census records pre- 1891 for Mary Elizabeth Fox, born about 1861 in Lowdham, Nottingham.  I am also trying to locate a birth or christening record for Mary.

She went on to marry John Parr Whittley in Nottingham in DecQ 1881 and later moved to Hinckley, Leicestershire.  In the 1891 census she goes by the name of 'Elizabeth' and in the 1901 census she uses 'Mary E'.

If anyone can help me to locate these records i would be most grateful.

I am trying to find the date of marriage of Thomas Wood & Ann (maiden name unknown!)  It believe that they married in Sharnford, Leicestershire in around 1815 although i cannot find a record of this.  Thomas came from Watford, Northampton and Ann is listed as from Sharnford in the later census' in which they both are living in Sharnford.

Can anyone help me with any further information?

I am trying to find out a bit more about the Wood Family from Watford, Northamptonshire.

Having used the Census records and IGI (which does not include this district to help fine tune my searches!) i have researched the Family line to Robert Wood and Martha Ballason.  They married on the 7th January 1789 in Watford. 

I have found two children - Thomas born 1792 and Nathaniel born 1794 by using the census records as they moved to Sharnford, Leicestershire prior to 1815.  I am not sure if there are any more children.

Furthermore, i cannot find the birth or christening record either Robert or Martha.  Can anyone help me to establish any further details about this family?

I am trying to find the birth/christening record of Eliza Roberts.  I can find her on the 1851 and later census' living in Hinckley, Leicestershire.  The census' indicate that she was born around 1829 in Leicester.  She went on to mary Henry Martin in 1857 in Hinckley.

I can find her mother on a later census living with them.  She is Mary Bills - this confused me although i found that Mary Roberts had married a John Bills in Hinckley in 1844.  She was born around 1791 in Thringstone, Leicester.  I am not sure if this was a first or second marriage.

Therefore, i am just trying to find a record of the birth/christening in the Leicester district (or any other info) to try and establish who her father was.  Clearly her mother was Mary Roberts although was Mary a single mum or is Roberts her married name from a first marriage prior to John Bills, possibly before 1829?

If anyone can help me i would be most appreciative.
