Hello

I am trying to locate a marriage between a Mr Payne and Ms Webster in the Hinckley area around 1920'ish.

I believe that they went on to have several children in Hinckley including Ronald (1921), Betty (1929), Irene (??), Brenda (??), Douglas (??) and Jennifer (1942).

If anyone can help me to fill in a few details here i would be most grateful.

Stuck again!

Ive looked on the BMD for the marriage of the above although cannot find it! It is likely that they got married around 1920 in Hinckley, Leics, as they had a child in March 1921 and the birth certificate records Ethel the mother as formely Corbett.

Ethel was born around 1898 and Stanley was born around 1896.

If anyone can help me find a marriage record i would be most grateful.

Warwickshire Completed Lookup Requests / William Holloway - Birth Lookup (COMPLETED)

Hello

Well before i finally put this part of the puzzle to bed i wondered whether anyone would be good enough to lookup the birth of a William Holloway on the Parish Records, or otherwise, covering Stretton on Dunsmore.

From the 1891 census i note that he was born in Stretton On Dunsmore around 1862. I have ordered a birth certificate the only possibility i found (JunQ 1862 Rugby 6d 469) and this shows his mother to be a single woman, Elizabeth Holloway, with no father listed.

I have ordered his marriage certificate from 1883 (JunQ 1883 6d 669) to Elizabeth Hartley in Leamington Spa and this lists his father as William Holloway. Therefore either there is another William Holloway born in Stretton on Dunsmore in or around 1862 or he was embarrassed his mother was unmarried and made a father up for the wedding certificate.

Interestingly, i have found a William Holloway on the 1871 census living with his grandmother Mary Hollloway although no mother! Earlier census' show Mary Holloway to have a daughter called Eliza - could this be Elizabeth?

I have looked on the IGI and unfortunately it does not cover the years in question.

If Anyone can help me make sense of the situation (i am suspecting that William is from a single parent family!) I would be most grateful.

Hello

Can anyone help me find the following information, mainly death dates:

- Margaret Jane Roberts - birth about 1862, Oldbury Staffs??; married Arthur Cotterill (Dec Q 1883 Dudley 6c 133); Died??
- Emma Crockett - birth about 1829, Pensnett, Staffs?; married Edmund Cotterill 24/12/1854 in Dudley, Staffs, died ??
- Thomas Crockett - birth abt 1800 in Staff's (Pensnett/Dudley?); married Ann Crockett (nee?) Staffs, died ?? Emma Crockett's father.
- Ann Crocket (nee??) - birth about 1801 in Staffs (Pensnett, Dudley?); Emma Crockett's mother.

I appreciate that some of the above is a little vague but any help would be greatly appreciated. I think they generally herald from the Pensnett, Dudley or Olbury area although i havent found any Census records for Thomas and Ann other than the 1841 one, which does not list birth places.

Everyone has been so helpful on this board and i am extremely grateful.

I have used the IGI to find out a number of marriage and christening details for the family of John Webb, christened 02/07/1792 in Gilmorton, married Ann (Hopkins - 14/10/1816 in Shearsby??), died 22/03/1858 in Gilmorton. However, i wondered if anyone could help me establish some outstanding info on his family - mainly death dates.

John Webb's parents:

- Mary Lydal (christened 6/11/1757 in Gilmorton). Died?
- William Webb - Husband of Mary (born about 1762 although i am not sure where and have no christening date). Married Mary 18/11/1785 in Gilmorton. Died?

John Webb's Siblings:

- William Webb - christened 25/06/1786 in Gilmorton - died?
- William Webb (no 2?) - christened 09/11/1789 in Gilmorton - died?
- Mary Webb - christened 15/06/1794 in Gilmorton - died?

Hello

I am trying to locate the birth of George Edwin Morris, born abt 1917 in Hinckley. Although no such luck. This is hindering me getting back in time. I think that his father might have been Walter Morris born abt 1891 in Hinckley and his mother Florence Robins, possibly of Nuneaton. I note that Walter and Florence were married in Nuneaton in 1913.

Could anyone help me to make the connection so that i can locate the appropriate birth details and do not waste money on the wrong certificates. I would also be grateful to see census results for Walter and Florence (probably just 1901) so that i can move back in time, although any birth, marriage and death info would be gratefully received.

Research on this branch of my family is proving very difficult to get going!

I am trying to locate the census records for Henry Hartley, born circa 1816 in Alverley Shropshire. I think i have found him on the 1871 census for Kingswinford (aged 55 and from Alverley?, Shropshire) living with his wife Ann (aged 37 and from Wolverley?, Worcester) together with his children Eliza (aged 10, Bewdley, Worcester), Elizabeth (aged 8, Kingswinford, Stafford), Henry (aged 6, Kingswinford, Stafford) and Ann (aged 2 Kingswinford, Stafford).

However, i cannot confidently find him on any other census records. Can anyone help me trace him and his family?

I am trying to find a reference for the death of Mary Holloway (nee Fletcher) born abt 1805 in Southam, Warwickshire although living in Stretton Upon Dunsmore, Warks in the census'. Her last census appearance appears to be 1871, although it's possible that i missed later appearances.

Hello All

Can anyone please help me find out any birth, death or ancestry information in relation to Thomas Osborne and Mary Cosbrook. They were married on 17/02/1818 at St Marys Hinckley.

Thomas was born around 1799 and died around 1870 in Hinckley. Mary was born around 1802 and died around 1880 in Hinckley.

I do not know any details of their parents.

Their children included William (abt 1820), John (abt 1822), Samuel (abt 1823), Hannah (abt 1825), Thomas (abt 1826), Mary (abt 1827), George (abt 1831), James (abt 1833) and Sarah abt 1839).

If anyone can help me with the details or further information i would be most grateful.
