Hello

Whilst i have made good progress on my mothers side of the family tree i am well and truly stuck on my fathers side as he cannot remember any details about his grandparents.  If anyone can help me to get going on this i would be most grateful.  Here's what i know:

George Edwin Morris - born around 1917 in Hinckley, died 1st April 1983.  Siblings include Eric Morris and Kathleen Morris (born abt 1914).

Marriage to Marjorie Joan Boleworth on ??????

Marjorie Joan Bolesworth - born around March 1921, died 22 Feb 1979.  Siblings include Jack (abt 1922), Dorothy, Peter, Roy, Alec (abt 1925), Judith and Ernest Peter Bolesworth (28/01/1925 - Feb 2004).  Parents possibly Esther Corbett and Stanley Reginald Bolesworth (03/09/1896 - 1988).

As i can't seem to get back to the 19th century i am really struggling to find information.  Any help in respect of birth, death, marriage and ancestors would be most appreciated.

I don't know why but i am really struggling to find some death dates.  If anyone is able to help with the following i would be most appreciative......

James Clay born abt 1780 Hinckley Leicestershire
Sarah Ginns (nee Marson) born Abt 1799 Hinckley Leicestershire
William Webb born Abt 1852 in Lutterworth, Leics
Harriet Webb (nee Barnes) born around June 1857 in Lichfield, Staffs although moved to Lutterworth
William Webb born around 1817 in Gilmorton, Leics - appears to have died prior to 1851
John Webb born abt 1792 in Gilmorton, Leics (died after 1851)
Ann Webb (nee ???) born about 1786 in Broadwell, Warwickshire although moved to Gilmorton, died after 1861
Elizabeth Smith (nee ????) born abt 1780 in Gilmorton, Leics, died after 1871.
John Barnes born abt 1796??? in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Mary Barnes (nee Morling) born abt 1796??? in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk

Hi

I am trying to find the parents and any ancestors of Elizabeth Smith born about 1811 in Gilmorton, Leicestershire.  I think that she married a William Webb and moved to Lutterworth and had a child (william Webb born about 1852) and died around 1896 in Lutterworth.

I am therefore interested to see if anyone has access to the Gilmorton records to possibly ascertain who her parents were (and grandparents etc etc) together with any useful birth/christening, marriage or death records?

Any help would be appreciated.

Warwickshire Completed Lookup Requests / Help on death/murder? Stourbridge Area 1911 (COMPLETED)

I am not sure if anyone can help me although i am trying to establish the circumstances of my great grandfathers death. 

His name was Herbert William Holloway (although he may have switched the two names round as a personal preference) and he appears to have been born in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire circa March 1885.

He later married Emma Jane (Cotterill i think) around 1905 and appears to have lived in Pensnett, Kingswinford, Stourbridge having had two daughters Minnie Holloway (1907) and Maud Holloway (1912). 

Unfortunately i am led to believe that he was killed on the railway line going back home or to work in the period Oct Nov Dec 1911, with the suggestion that he was murdered.  This was just before my grandmother was born in 1912 so she sadly never met her father and never discussed it.

I am therefore wondering if anyone can help me find out more information about his life and death - perhaps it was reported in a local newspaper?

Any help or further information would be most appreciated.

I am sorry if this is an obvious question although how do i go about trying to establish where the actual plots were where people are buried. 

I note that the deaths of several of my ancestors are recorded in the St Mary's parish records although i wondered how i could go about locating their burial plots - particularly in respect of 19th century burials.

Any help, advice or assistance would be most welcome.

I am researching my family tree and have hit a brick wall, which i am not sure how or if it can be resolved!

I have a relative called William Burton.  Born circa 1786 and living most of his life in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

I have looked in the Hinckley library records.  From my recollection the marriage entry (26/07/1818 at St Mary's Church, Hinckley, Leicestershire, England) recorded that both William and his wife Mary (Morris) were from the Hinckley district.  However his place of birth in both the 1851 records, 1861 and 1871 records is listed as Nuneaton, Warwickshire.  I have searched online and have briefly reviewed several Nuneaton parish records although cannot find any further information or records to help me move back in time. 

After a search online i noted that another person's family tree linked in with mine and this indicated that William Burton had a family link to Dunchurch, Warwickshire.  I contacted them to see if they could enlighten me although they unfortunately did not have access to the records for this part of their research.  I am therefore stuck as i am not sure where i should look next.

Any help, information or advice would be most appreciated.
