St Philip Neri was in Co. Durham (Dunston), I can't see their records in DRO catalogue but they 'are' on microfilm at TWAS so am asking in here if that's okay.

That should take you to a list of baptisms for COLLINS on the Family Search beta site.
The ones I am interested in are those with James (Jacobi) Collins and Mary Ann (nee Sinclair) as parents. I only have the father, James, in the 1911 census, staying in the house of his oldest daughter Ann and her husband. Mother, Mary Ann, and the rest of the family nowhere to be found in 1911 as yet, which means I do not have the numbers of children for this marriage born/died by 1911.
The dates are odd for some of them
Ann - breg Q3 1889, bap 29 Sep 1889 - which, as catholic back then I would expect, children were baptised as soon as possible after birth.
The others seem to have been a while for most of them before they were baptised, which was not usual.
I think they had Ann, had her baptised, then maybe James drifted from the church ( Mary Ann was C of E).
They had Francis (c1892), John (c1893), Grace Agnes (birth reg Q1 1896,)and James (c 1897) and didn't have them baptised.
Then Grace was baptised around the time of her death (bap 06 Sep 1899, death reg Q3 1899). Perhaps her death sharpened James' view and when the next baby, William, came along he was baptised quite soon after birth ( birth reg Q4 1900 , bap 23 Dec 1900).
I imagine the priest chased them to get the other children baptised, as there is a job lot on 03 Mar 1901
Francis (Franciscus)
James (Jacobus)
Charles (Carolus) - for whom I can't find a likely birth reg, not seen a mention of a Charles in any census entry for this family.
and a child for whom no first name or gender seems to have been recorded
I have no idea who this last one may have been, but if I can suss it and they survived, it will give me another search term to hopefully be able to find Mary Ann and the rest of the family in 1911.
If anyone is at the archives and has ten mins to spare, please could you check the entries for 03 Mar 1901 and see if there is any indication of birth dates for these four in the original registers, that may have been missed from the transcription? Long shot I know, but I am at the stage where long shots are my only option.
Any other advice, straws to be clutched at etc gratefully received too :-)
Thanks
Boo
