I have found my great grandfather who was thomas brown born 1848 his mother was Annie fields Birth place listed as Northallerton I am still trying to find my grandfathers army record I have been told he died in the war and i think it was round about 1917

Can anyone help me get information about my Grandfather he was
Thomas William Brown Born 25 August 1877 at 10 Sykes Street Hull He married Mary Ann Glew on 26 Dec 1901 I believe he was killed in the 1st world war but cannot get a death certificate or anyhing
My father Thomas George Brown was born 21 Oct 1902 don't have any information about his family other than that his mother married again don't know if there were anymore children so as you can see I don't have much to go on I am not expecting much but any thing will good as I have a 8yr old Grandson who wants to do a family tree

this varney family is getting more and more interesting I think that the elder woodhouse could have been what the termed a foundling and as was often the case and someone had the bright idea of naming him after probably the place he was found. I also think the grandson escaped the mill where he was sent age10 by being taken on the canal boats which called at the mill. look forward to hearing some more to the varney saga

Hagen is suposed to be were born on census but if they had irish accent as they would then it will have been picked up wrong the only information I have is it was suposed to be Silgo but can't get any further
sorry so long in replying but have been ill

my great grandfather I belive came from Sligo thought Hagen has come up on the sensus His name was Martin Goulding,wife Cathrine  if anyone has ant information to help me find about him I would be gratefull for any help Thank you

I have some more infor on Varneys  Woodhouse Varney the second married a Louisa Brurtonshaw in1837 in west Butterwick thats in lincolnshire I have there marriage certicficate in front of me She is down as being a Dressmaker and her fatheris down as a blacksmith when there son Henry was 6 he was sent to live with his grandfather to learn a trade
I also belive that the boats that Woodhouse was on was a cannel boat
 I haven't yet found his death or how his wife and children landed up living at Hull but intend to keep looking let me know if I can help futher

My Mother was Alice Varney I believe a direct decentant of Woodhouse Varney Her father was  Walter Varney and he was a Blacksmith in Hull  He Married Anne Elizabeth Goulding in 1894 I have been trying to trace my family for a while now it would be nice to swap findings with someone on same line
