I am trying to trace my Grandmothers family they came from Ireland originally but not sure where but Sligo has been mentioned my great grandfather was Martin Goulding born about 1844 his wife was Catherine Goulding formerly McDonnell I know that he died march 1915 in Hull she died 1904 in Sculcoats Hull they had children born in Ireland one was my grandmother and then there where children born in Hull it is possible he had a brother Michael who was in Hull with his wife Winnie and children but on the other hand he could be nothing to do with Martin just there may be a chance someone else is looking for him any information would be very gratefully relieved thank you

it is very confusing at times on the cesus image it is hard to tell if it is hagen Flagen or Slagen the martin with wife named Catherine is the one with the daugther Ann who I think is my grandmother but as you say it is very easy to get on the wrong track I don't know how many times that has happen I will know more when I get Michaels birth certificate
