Susanna(h) Luff dob abt 1819 born Lincolnshire England married William Hobbs dob abt 1818 migrated to Australia.  I think William's father may have been John.

William Hobbs, occupation - Shepherd of Gidney?, Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, married aged 21 years, and wife Susanna aged 20 years applied for a free passage to South Australia 8th October 1836 Application Number 685 Embarkation Number 414.

They arrived from England on the ship "John Renwick"- departed Gravesend 18th October 1836 - arrived Holdfast Bay 09/02/1837 - arrived Port Adelaide 21/02/1837.

Can anyone help me with their ancestors please?

Pratts of Cavan Ireland
In the book to South Australia's Shores they Came it states that "1857 in County Ireland a group of youths gathered together and decided to emigrate. Amongst them was Thomas Pratt, coming out on the ship "Frenchman" which arrived in Australia in 1858. The most cherished possessions of the youth Thomas was his Gaelic Bible and a large silk flag carried by his grandfather, a bearer in the civil war between James the 2nd and William of Orange at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland."
In my family tree I have sisters Ann Verner b abt 1834 and Sarah Verner b abt 1842 in Tyrone Ireland.  Ann Verner married James Pratt b 1830 Ireland and Sarah married Thomas Pratt b 1841 Cavan Ireland.
I am trying to establish if the James and Thomas are brothers and any information about their ancestors which would confirm the information in the book.

I am hoping that somebody can help me find details of my 2nd great-grandparents.  John Verner b abt 1805 in Castlederg, Tyrone, Ireland and Jane Scott b abt 1801 from Tyrone, Ireland. They arrived in Australia in 1857 aboard the ship the Monsoon.  They had their son Thomas b abt 1849 with them.
I have had a lot of help in the past using RootsChat and am hoping that somebody can help me again.

I am trying to locate details of John Pritchard whom I think married Melicent Evans - not sure about this but I think they may have had up to 6 sons. Henry and William (sons) emigrated to South Australia on the Lady Emma in 1837.  I think the parents and another four sons emigrated two years later on the Hooghly to South Australia in (1839.) I think they may originated from Gloucestershire.  Henry was born in 1822 and William in 1818.  Henry is my  gggrand-father.  If anyone has any details I would appreciate the help!!
