Lancashire / Re: Diggle - my missing grandfather
« on: Sunday 25 October 20 23:12 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Nice to be in contact with another Diggle descendant. Sorry, not one of yours and a bit infuriating. I have been looking into my Diggles for ages with a good head start from my auntie. I’m not related but the annoying thing is mine have been so close and I’ve seen Moreton Diggles so often to discount. Mine are in Lancashire but mostly Catholic and also some in Australia

However I’ll look at our old notes and search results and see if I have anything relevant

Good luck and enjoy Rootschat

Best wishes

Emms :)

Hi again

Thank you everyone for such fascinating replies

I’ve had another look and just to confuse matters on one record I have the address as

1 O’ Brien’s Terrace , Blarney Street. AlsoO’Blarney Street

Also, my later family here are Cadogans. I’m guessing they’re linked by marriage butI haven’t found it. Another linked family is Driscoll or ODriscoll. Just saw the new post on this board!

Much ofthis is word of mouth and scraps of paper though

Sorry not to have more concrete stuff

Take care

Technical Help / Office without sign in?
« on: Monday 24 August 20 11:54 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I apologise if this has been asked before

I’m just getting back to my research and also trying to tame a new Windows lap top

Having bought my Microsoft Office I expected to do what I’ve always done and start documents in a word and just store them and edit them on my device. I have no intention of using Cloud and as far as I’m concerned my letters are nothing to do with Microsoft

However my computer keeps telling me to sign in.

Is it really the case that Big Brother has decided I can’t use Office without signing in with Microsoft?

Any ideas please?

Best wishes

Emms :)

Hi

Fascinating

Definitely complicated!

I’d decided no one was linked to these so I’ll have to dig my bits out

Most of what I know is on here though

I’m wondering if there is some street Re numbering going on though and also that my family were at more than one house in the street

Thank you for getting back

Needs some digging

Best wishes
