Hi

Would someone be so kind as to look for the marriage as follows

Bertram Ernest Sephton born 31.12.1922 (regd 1923)  at Foleshill 6d 1144 and died 2000

I have also been searching for the death of his mother Mary Hannah Judith Sephton (nee Harrison born 1898 in Leicestersghire) again I think in the Midlands.

Warwickshire / Sephton Family possibly of Coventry
« on: Monday 10 August 09 11:49 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Can anyone lay claim to the above and help me to fill in some blanks.  All I have is:

Mary Hannah Judith Harrison (b1898 Leic but her family were from the  Birmingham area) m William Sephton 1916 (he died shortly after the death of his son)  Mary was 'adopted' by a family called Lightfoot. They were I gather quite well to do and had either a retail or wholesale business.

They had 2 sons William b 1916 who died as a child and

Bertram (Bert) b 31.12.1922 died 2000 in Coventry.

Bert married  and had a child.

Does anyone recognise them?

Many thanks

Hi Everyone

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to look For John Bradshaw, a Boatman, shown on the 1901 census.

I think he may be my great uncle.  I would love to know why he was there.

Many thanks

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Mystery Man Samuel Harrison
« on: Monday 22 June 09 19:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I have a mystery man in a family grave in Southern Cemetery.

His name is Samuel Harrison and he died of TB on 3rd May 1916 in the Union Hospital, Ashton under Lyne aged 47.  His home address being 18 Chapel St., Stalybridge.   His death was informed by a staff member at the hospital.

Initially I wondered if he was my gggf - also Samuel Harrison -who I believe died in or about 1904 and would have been a little older.

I am sure he is entitled to be in the grave as there are other family member in there as well but who is he??

I wondered if anyone had any directories for 1916 or before so we could perhaps look who else lived there or can any one of you experts out there make any suggestions???  I will go and look at the head stone in due course but its a fair way for me to go.

Cheers

Hi

I have above on disc - it only gives details of names and address and occupations (sometimes).  Details are listed alphabetically.   I would be happy to do look ups  on request.
Please give as much info as possible.

"For a look up request please start a new topic in the CENSUS and RESOURCE LOOKUP REQUEST board for this county"

Hi

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to date this photo - my guess mid 20's?    Also any guesses on the brides age?  She could have been born in either 1886 or 1905 which would make her Mary or Hilda.    Whoever she is she doesn't look too happy....

Many thanks

The Common Room / 'once removed?'
« on: Thursday 09 April 09 20:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi

Perhaps I am a bit slow on the uptake but I have never understood this once removed business - ie 2nd cousin once removed.   Can anyone tell me in words of one syllable?

Thanks

Ginger
