Hello

 Have you looked in the registers of Chester St Oswald, in Queen Street.

  in the book of Cheshire Parish Registers there is reference to an UPTON in the area that St Oswalds covers.  it might be worth looking as the dates are 1580's upwards........

 Just a thought.

 I think you have them on the 1841. It does look promising doesn't it...
 and if the children are alone then parents are on the 'cut' somewhere....

 is this where I go public ?? and ask for help in every county!!!!!!
 they ...Joseph and Sarah must be somewhere................

 I am trying to find Joseph Turton and his wife Sarah on the 1841 Census. They are Canal Boatmen and could be anywhere, has anyone stumbled across them>>>
aprox ages 30 years.

 any ideas on finding them would be appreciated.
