Australia / Re: Ernest Henry WARREN - Where is he?

Hello dsun
At this time I don't know if your EHW is in fact my EHW. Mine came from Canada (b. in England) to visit family in 1926, but disappeared shortly afterwards. There has been no reliable trace of him since.
The Lynne you mention is a descendant of EHW's mother's second husband, and therefore was more interested in his family tree. I no longer have any contact details for her.
So I regret that, at the moment at least, I am unable to help you with your research, but good luck.
Regards
Wombat

I should mention that if you discover the birth details of your EHW, and they match my EHW then we could be onto something.
W.

Hello again Joanna.

This my first time on the board for several years.

I have to confess that I remain unsure whether we ever concluded our discussion?

Essex Lookup Requests / Re: Brewster family of Gt Waltham
« on: Sunday 18 January 15 05:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Bunnykins,

Thanks for the info wrt Sarah Brewster. The 12/11/1769 burial seems to back up my assumption about Joseph being married twice.

As I don't have access to the NBI, can you clarify if Sarah's age at burial was recorded and advise?

I have checked familysearch births and have found Joseph (b 1739) at Good Easter and Sarah (b 1741) at Gt Waltham. So that all ties in nicely. But at present I can't find Mary.

Are you able to advise me on births in Gt Waltham or would it be better to raise these issues as new queries?

As I,m new to Rootschat, I'm not yet familiar with the accepted protocol and procedures.

Hello again 10dorking

I have read through the letters Ernest sent to my family when he was in Australia.  There may be some details of use, I do not know.  I would like to forward that to you, but I think there's too much to post here.  How do I get that info to those who are interested?  Break it down in chunks?

Thanks,
Searchforernest

Hi Searchforernest, are you still on Rootschat?   There's been something of a long pause (by me) since your post.
I'm still interested.

Hello searchforernest

An absolute pleasure to hear from you.
You asked what I would like to know about Ernest?  Well, just about everything after his arrival in Canada. That part of his life is almost a complete mystery. He did turn up in Australia, and reacquainted himself with family members here, and then seems to have vanished.

Unfortunately I'm on a bit of a caravan trip at the moment and don't have all my records with me, but I'll contact a relative at home and see what I can get hold of at this distance, and then get back to you. Probably this will occur in the next 48 hours.

Thanks again, and regards,

Hi lioness

I've just made the effort to read your story more closely. Your grandmother, Dorothy, was my Aunty Dot ..... a favorite of mine.  In fact in the 1980's I sat down with her (when she was living at Ebeneezer) and tape recorded, at some length, Dot talking about her young life.  The recording is a bit rough but I'd love to share it with you.  It's possible we've met somewhere along the line too.
Whose daughter are you?

Regards
Terry

Hello kiwicatz

I have a Daisy Warren in my tree, whose birth was registered in the June Qtr of 1893 although in Croydon not Middlesex.  She was the youngest daughter of William James Warren ( known as James ).  I believe my Daisy also became a nurse.  Any connection?
