Sussex / Charles Cooper 1800-1885
« on: Friday 10 October 08 17:59 BST (UK)  »
Can anybody help with the marriage of Charles Cooper, he was baptised in Beckley in 1800 and buried in Beckley in 1885, but so far I have not found either of his marriages.  ???

His first wife Mary ? b abt 1805 d. 1848.
His second wife appears on the 1861 census, Caroline b. abt 1804 Northiam d. 1887 Beckley.

Any help with this would be much appreciated and any other information one might have about Charles and his ancestors.
Thank you
 :)

Hi Stewart,
Thank you so much for finding that for me and yes if you could find the daughter's name that would be excellent. I am unaware of the rates list, what exactly is it?

Any time would be good Stewart if you don't mind, it just takes care of a loose end, know where and when she was born and married, so it would be nice to know where and when she died.
thanks

Hi Stewart, how are you?
You set me on the right track a little while ago with the De Gruchy family, especially about the book written on the family, I purchased a copy and my lady friend was over the moon with it.
Didn't realise then that my family albeit by marriage had a link to the C. I.
I would think that the Matilda Elizabeth Goldup you have found in the index could be the one, is it possible for you to find a more exact date for me.
regards
Steve

Hi can anybody help me find my Uncle's grandmother. Born Matilda Elizabeth Larkin 1872 in Beckley, Sussex; married John Goldup 1900 in Beckley, he died 1927 in Hastings. I think Matilda moved to Jersey circa 1950 to live with her daughter (Annie) already out there ( don't know daughters full name or if she was married). Believe Matilda probably died and buried there so if anybody has the time to look I would very much appreciate it.
thank you

Sussex / Philadelphia King - who is this lady?
« on: Tuesday 23 September 08 13:25 BST (UK)  »
Can anybody help with more information about Philadelphia King. She married William Larkin on the 15th Feb 1823 at All Saints Beckley; she died in 1839 aged 33. Does she come in your family tree, or is there any information you can help me with, many thanks.
