Eliza HUMPHREY, the wife of James BONHAM, is my 1st cousin 4 times removed. I think that Eliza was the daughter of Susanna Humphrey and Thomas Fleet
I notice you are in Australia, some of Eliza's brothers emigrated to Victoria, Australia in the 1840's.

I contacted Tower Hamlets and this is their reply

"Thank you for your email of 12/11/07.
We do not have the Absent Voters List for 1918. These lists probably did not survive."

Ahh well another brick wall still standing.

I am looking for the Humphrey(s)  family in 1861 in Bethnal Green
The names are

Solomon Humphrey b 1835 Buckingham
Jane Humphrey b 1838 Buckingham
Sarah Humphrey b 1858 Buckingham
Cotton Humphrey  b 1859 Bethnal Green

I thought they would be easy to find, not common names, not many Cotton's about, but no luck after many many many hours  :(

any help much appreciated

Does anyone know where I can find the Absent Voters List(s) that would cover Bethnal Green and Stepney. I am trying to trace my Grandad's WW1 service.
