Completed Census Requests / Warrington Brickwall, PLEASE help.
« on: Saturday 18 September 04 07:12 BST (UK)  »
1) In 1835-36 a William DEAKIN was born to William DEAKIN, a Stonemason and Mary, in Warrington (this is where William jnr states he was born, on all his census records). There's no record on the IGI for his birth, I believe they were C of E as his children married in C of E Churches. Where do I find his Christening record?

2) William DEAKIN Snr. a Stonemason married a Mary ??, could be HUNT. Possible in Northwich as that is where she says she was born (Census records).

Any advice .....PLEASE, thanks a lot, bye for now, Doreen

Lancashire / Whiteman's Buildings Manchester
« on: Friday 17 September 04 19:50 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to locate Whiteman's Buildings in the London Road area of Manchester. A birth in June 1839 and a death certificate in September 1839, state this address for John Thackray a Leather Dealer. I have looked at the 1841 census with no joy. Does anyone know where to look for it, which road the building was on would be wonderful.
Many thanks, Doreen
