Family History Beginners Board / Frank Wilson, dob, parents brickwall

My great grandfather was consistently known as FRANK WILSON. His dau Jeanette said his birthday was 15 Sept c 1857 in Shropshire He seems to have been brought up by his grandparents Joseph Wilson and Jane Bill (who WAS born in Shropshire).
1871 census 25 Edward St Marylebone, Frank WiLton, grandson, 8, b. Marylebone
1877 F J Wilson began work in GPO as boy writer in Savings Bank.
1881 census 26 Samford Street Marylebone, Frank H Wils,grandson, 18 former letter sorter, b Middx.
1884-1896 cohabited with J(e)anetta nee Jones AKA Moxon mother of William H Moxon b 1879, married Charles Stapeley 1880 mother of Charles 1881, widowed May 1884.
Frank and Jeanetta were parents of Frank b 1885 Lewisham, Jeannette (My grandmother) b 1888 Marylebone, Ernest Robert (Known as Tom) b 1891 Marylebone, Emily Rose 1894 Marylebone.
1891 census aged 30 b Pancras.
Jeanetta died 1896; he married Adelaide Smith 1898 in Marylebone, bachelor aged 38.
1901 census aged 40 b Pancras.
died 1931 "aged 70" registered by ER Wilson son.
probability: born c 1862-3, Marylebone (1st 2 census records nearest to birth, given by grandparents, starting age at work usually 14). Whole family lived in or near except Joseph who went to Lewisham.
High probability: he was illegitimate. Brought up by his grandparents, he was probably a child of one of their daughters. His aunt Mary Ann born 1847, had 2 illegitimate children born c 1879, and 1880/1 living with her parents Joseph and Jane and nephew? Frank in 1881, but Joe. and Jane also had Jane, Elizabeth and Eliza, as well as William, Joseph and George. I have found Wiliam with his wife Eliza and Joseph with partner Louisa. I have not found deaths or marriages of girls or George. These might help identify if any of them were parents of Frank.
No registered births of Frank Wilson 1857-1866 Marylebone/ Pancras are my Frank.
No registered births of Frank Wilsons in London same period on any 25th Sept.
How do I go about finding his d.o. b. and parents?
