I have a marriage certificate for a John Turner(occ. Stoker) and Mary Bamforth both aged 21 as I know Mary was infact 24, both ages could be wrong . The marriage took place 31 Jul 1851 in Huddersfield, the witnesses were Luke Turner Brook and J. Battye. John’s father is named as James Turner deceased, and no occupation given.
I have all the info I require on Mary, but I’m stuck with John. I have John and Mary on census returns

1871 Source Citation: Class: RG10; Piece: 4365; Folio: 27; Page: 48;
1881 Source Citation: Class: RG11; Piece: 4381; Folio: 105; Page: 17;
1891 Source Citation: Class: RG12; Piece: 3566; Folio 87; Page 14;
Living next door to John and Mary in 1861 are: Martha Turner aged 53, Isabella Turner aged 15 and Thomas Turner aged 11. It could be coincidence that two families named Turner are living next door to each other (Turner being a common name), but maybe there’s a relationship. I’ve also found Luke Turner Brook on the 1861 census ref:

I cannot positively identify John on the 1841, or 51 census. And though I feel there must be a connection between John and Luke Turner Brook, I have thus far been unable to establish what it is.
My head is spinning with all the Turner permutations and I'm hoping someone will cast fresh eyes on the search. Any little extra snippet may help, as I feel sure there must be something I've overlooked.
Many thanks for reading this, and thanks in anticipation for anything anyone is able to input.
Added info
In 1851 there's this family who I initially thought was my John (he's a stoker - same as John's occ. on marriage) Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece: 2295; Folio: 684; Page: 49;
However, that family in 1841 have an Ann Chadwick aged 25 living in the household: Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece 1277; Book: 6; Civil Parish: Kirk Burton; County: Yorkshire; Enumeration District: 2; Folio: 38; Page: 27;
I have found births for a Sarah Chadwick and Ann Chadwick (sisters) also a marriage between Sarah Chadwick and RICHARD Turner in 1827 at Silkstone. Could Richard be my James, or am I clutching at straws?
