Hi there

I've got a link in my tree to a Thomas Wozencraft.  He married a Margaret Thomas in 1871 at Llanbister.  They went on to have 4 children.  Dont know more than that as yet.  Could it be the same link?

There is a connection on facebook that has great interest and details of Hereford with loads of pictures.  You can search for live persons if you know their name and county of residence - it's called www.192.com  it uses the electorial lists.  You have to pay of course, but it's not over the top yearly or anything like that.

Herefordshire / Re: James Gunter or Pugh - any resource suggestions?

Back in the 1970's I remember a family of Gunters and Pughs in an area known as Coldstone Cross, Kingstone, Hereford.  One of the older boys from the Gunters was killed in a motorbike accident and it was reported in the Evening News on the same date as the Silver Jubilee.

I'm sure locals will help if you ask in the area.

Well, as I say I know very little.

May Wilson born 14/10/1898 but I have no idea of where.

Her father was called George Wilson - age - no idea, but he was dead by the time May (aged 20) married in May 1918.

The marriage cert doesn't give her profession, but residence at time of marriage was listed as Llanhilleth.

Her spouse was James Gundy aged 29 and a farm servant, residence was listed as Aberystwith, with his father also called James and he too was a farm servant.

Witnesses were Harry and Edith Steward.

The marriage took place in Llanhilleth.

I've been in touch with friends of St Iltyds in Llanhilleth and they dont have a George Wilson grave.

I don't know where or what else to look for, I dont know of any family or other clues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.  Robs

Daughter's name was May, and she married James Gundy in 1918 at the age of 20.

Her marriage cert shows father as desceased and witnesses weren't relatives.

I think she is listed as Mary on the birth register though, so not sure what is correct.

Yes she would be on the 1901 census, though I cant find her.

She wasn't listed as a servant or any other profession, so I can only assume that she was looking after the family.

The witnesses were not relatives, though I hadn't though that they might be neighbours?

I'm trying to find information on George Wilson who I believe died between 1900 and 1917.  His daughter (my grandmother) married in 1918 and on her marriage cert it says he is dead.

Llanhilleth is about my only lead except I know she was born in 1898.

I'm trying to find out about him, his wife and possibly other children.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks
