Hello Kipper, this is the facts Margaret Brown born 1821 died 1898 in Ayr district her mother was Mary Niven and her father was John Brown he was a whale fisherman.
Margaret was 67 years old when she died.

PS Robert died in1882 Maggie died in 1910.

Some info' regards Robert Anderson.......married first wife Martha Maxwell  1833....children Robert 1835..william 1838..john1844
Second wife Maggie BROWN MAR.1849.....Children,,,,,Mary 1857.....hugh 1860....james 1864.Hope this is some help

Poinding meant that all goods were listed by the officers of the court,which meant that the goods would be sold to meet any debts that they owed,eg rent arrears,loan arrears,etc.

There is a Rule family,living in the Polmont area of Falkirk,I'm sure that Ian Rule has/had a plumbing buisiness in Falkirk, I lived in the polmont area up to 1998.

Any information you need regarding electoral roll is kept at the mitchell library,I once used it to trace my wifes birthmother,I can't remember if you could get a copy,I wrote down the information I needed at the time.
