Hi Karen

That would be really good - if you get the chance to do that I would really appreciate it.  I don't know how difficult it is to find!

Thank you
Kathy

That was quick!!

Thank you so much - that is excellent!  So much for family stories!  At least she got to see her daughter!

I looked at the Cheltenham graves online...couldn't find her.

Would be very grateful if some-one could find any information re. the death of

Elizabeth Ann Middleton.....died in 1953.  Her death was registered at Port Adelaide (801/4782).

She died (we believe) aboard ship before arriving in Aus.  She was the widow of George Middleton, and would have been aged about 77 years old.

I have found the entry on the website 'GenealogySA'.....but am not a member.

Also - any ideaof where she would have been buried?

Thank you

Warwickshire / Dunchurch grave

I wonder if anyone lived near enough to Dunchurch to have a look for a grave for me?

I know there is a grave because someone has seen it - but we don't have a transcription.

We know that there is a grave for James Turland Edmonds.  He married 3 times (at least!) and I have been told that he lies in the churchyard with them (Mary Ann, Eva Annie & Alice Annie).....would love to have the details!

I wonder if he called them all Annie...to avoid confusion/embarrassment!

Hi Dawn....

I have spoken to the Parkwood Crem. office who are really helpful and they gave me details of the grave - but they tell me that because it is an older grave they don't hold records of memorials - and can't tell me if there is one or not.

They are willing to meet me there if I want to visit - but I am unable to do this at the moment.

The grave is:  C (Uncon.) 266

The family name : Clegg plus a married daughter (Ada Crossley) - burials from 1883 to 1927

I am researching victorian school teachers for a project....Ada and her sister Lily were both Head Mistresses in Halifax.

Hi....have you tried looking for a death notice in the local paper?

As you know the date of death - an email to Liverpool Library asking them to have a look for you might just do it!

It usually gives details of the funeral.  Then you can contact the cemetery office (usually all records are kept together in one place nowadays) and with the dates they should be able to give you the grave plot no.
