Walter Frank Jarka left Russia c. 1913 leaving his family behind......

His father Frank Jarka died in an accident in Russia 1918 - he was an employee of the Cement Co, at Novorossisk.
His mother Annie (next of kin on his army records)- address (Novorossisk Port, Portland Cement Co.) died of old age c.1923.

Any info would be good!

He also had a brother Peter - he died in Russia in c.1920

Sister - Anna Jarka married M. Novokov and was living near Moscow in 1935, but it is not known if they survived the war or if any descendants.

The posts on this thread are quite old.....but in case anyone is following -

My husband is a descendant of a Thomas Bridge (possibly the brother of John 1715-1746).

Thomas was born c. 1711/12 at Withins Farm, Hawkshaw and died there in 1787.  He was married to Nancy (Ann) Fildes in 1733 at St. Mary's in Bury.  They had 3 sons (that I know of) Thomas 1739, James 1746  and John 1749.

Thank you everyone...some great links there.

I will keep looking - I'm hopeful he's still alive (nothing on any of the cemetery sites or death notices)

Yes.....I now have him in Canberra until 1980.

I also have a female at the same address - so I am assuming he married.

Are there marriages index online?

I've tried some of the resource links - many of which are broken I'm afraid, so it is a little frustrating.  I am hoping that this man IS still alive, but not sure how I find out.  I'll have another play with some of the other posts.

Thank you.

I would be grateful for help with finding a gentleman (hopefully he may still be alive)

My friend's cousin is looking for an old friend he served with in the Navy.....
Removed Curtis - Born in London in 1938.  He emigrated to Australia in 1963

He was in Tasmania early 1970s...last known address Canberra in 1977.  Any info. at all would be appreciated.  There is a possibility he may have become a policeman - but not confirmed.

Thank you

Thank you so much for having a look.....

James (b. 1849) died 6th July 1926.

I was told by my friend (who has since sadly died) that they went with friends to a pub in Dunchurch, and looked over the church wall, and saw the grave.  How true this is, I don't know.  Just she remembered him having 3 wives.

I haven't seen the burial records I'm afraid so don't have a grave no.  Happy to wait until grass dies down!!  Her visit was some years ago....
