Derbyshire / Widdowson's of Barlow

Is anyone researching this family?

There seemed to be quite a lot of them and I am at a standstill with Thomas - on 1861 shown as a blacksmith born Chesterfield and wife Martha born Barlow living in Sheffield

In 1851 the family are in Great Barlow, except now the 'head'
is shown as Godfrey.

Godfrey, age 12, shows up in 1841 in Chesterfield.

Have I got the right thread anywhere???

Do hope someone can put me straight here.

I have just discovered my g-g-grandmother was born Eliza Bowen. She was married in 1853 to John Wolfe in Malling, Kent and a daughter, Jane Elizabeth, was my g-grandmother.
I am hoping some kind chatter will be able to find her (Eliza) and her family on the 1851 Census and so give me some more names to go at.

I am trying to find my great grandmother, Anna Cole, in 1891 and 1901. She was born around 1821 in Wooland, Dorset and was married to Thomas Edward Cole.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Dorset Lookup Requests / Birth look-up, please 1843.

I would really appreciate help with finding the birth details of Albert Carey in 1843 at Fontmell.
He is shown with his grandparents in 1851 at Parsonage Street, Fontmell. They were Stephen and Mary Cole.
The only other information on Albert was in 1881 where he is shown as a schoolmaster living in Devon.
Naturally, I am curious who his parents were as this is the only time he is mentioned in the family.
Do hope a kind chatter can find him.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Where on earth was my grandfather in 1881 ?

I'm trying to find my grandfather, Owen Joseph Roberts COLE, in 1881. He was born in 1860 in Gillingham, Dorset.
I have found him in 1861/71/91/1901 but can't see hide or hair of him in 1881. I am just wondering where he was.
In 1891 he was in Stockbridge, Hampshire, and wrongly listed as Rowcole in the household of Alfred Bredmore. He later married Sarah Jane Breadmore, so this may have been her brother.
Any help on this curly one will be much appreciated.

Dorset Lookup Requests / 1851 Census - Where is Anna Lush Roberts?

I have found Anna Lush Roberts on the 1841 census living in West Orchard with her parents, Joseph 65 and Ann 50. Anna was 15 at that time.
She married Thomas Edward Cole in 1859 in Shaftesbury and she is shown as a 'grocer' on the marriage certificate and living in Gillingham.
I'm just wondering where she was in 1851 - with her parents or already in Gillingham? Anna was my great grandmother.
I would very much appreciate some help with this look-up.

Dorset Lookup Requests / Birth look-up please, Stephen Cole, Fontmell Magna

Is it possible to find any details of the birth and parents of Stephen Cole, born about 1797, most probably in Fontmell Magna? I have information of his marriage to Mary Roberts in June 1818 in Fontmell Magna. They lived there most of their lives I would say from census info.
Anything on Mary Roberts would be a bonus too. I've tried the OPC but they only have deaths listed as yet.

Thanks for the help for this query, it has been successfully answered. Both John Wolfe and his wife Eliza died in the 1860s. Barbara from Cornwall worried this problem until she found them! Many thanks Barbara.
