Does anyone know how I would get help with Non Conformist records in Loddiswell and the
surrounding areas? My ancestors were the Kennards of Loddiswell, they were primarily blacksmiths and non conformists.
there don't seem to be any records on the IGI. Any suggestions?
Thank you for any help and advice given

Hi Fue,
Yes he signed the certificate with a cross, I have found your Michael, his wife Margaret and their children William and Mary, I still have no idea if my Thomas is their Son as he was not with them on the 1841 census, can't find him at all in the 1841 census. I am waiting for a copy of the hearns in Torrington to come from the Devon History Society. I will let you know if we are from the same family when I have had a good look at it.
All the best Jooles

The marriage was 1853 and Michael was a laborer.
As for the link between the other Hearnes in Great Torrington I am not sure as yet, as Thomas is the earliest Hearne I have in that area, as yet I have not found any of his Brothers of Sister, I cannot find him on the 1841 census when he should of been living with his parents and no trace of him on the IGI site.......

Looking for my ancestors parents.
His name is Thomas Hearne born about 1831 in Great Torrington, Devon.
On his marriage certificate to  Fanny Crossman it states his Father is Michael Hearne.
Any details on both his parents would be gratefully received
Many thanks
