Ihave just noticed your research names and i too have rellies called Handley My mums sister was married to a John Handley in the early 1930s and they had about 13 kids and i think they also came from the Brighouse/Rastrick area

Hi Donna,Thanks for replying but those are not my Kershaws. Ihave a marriage cert for James William Kershaw to Jane Elizabeth Pattinson in 1919(late Longbottom this is her 2nd marriage)these are my granparents) it says he was 26 and she 37(and i thought toyboys were a relativly new concept)s0 he was born about1893 but im not sure where possibly Bradford or Halifax.they were married in Halifax and lived at 36 Park St Brighouse. he was in the duke of wellingtons and after the war he worked in a wire factory.
His father was also called James and his occ was steam crane engine driver and he died before 1919.i think JWK had at least one brother called Sam as i have an old photograph that says " to my bro SAM LOVE FROM jwk" so would you kindly have another look for me

Im looking for info on john Parvin b1811 in Sandhutton or Newsham in north Yorkshire . On his marriage cert it says his father was also called John any info at all on this family would be appreciated. JP B1811 married his 1st marriage produced a son in 1841/42 called Thomas but i cant find any info on this marriage but the son is on the 1851 but nothing after that maybe he died coz i cant find anything else.

could someone kindly look up for me on the 1901 cenus and the one after that for eveline Parvin Longbottom.born 1897/8. parents were joseph and Esther Longbottom and they lived in Rastrick/Halifax.
The reason i ask for the later look up is that Eveline may not be the child of Joseph and Esther but its quite possible she was brought up thinking they were her parents when it is very possible she was actually the illigitimate child of who she thought was her sister
Iwould be very grateful for any help on this as my family is just one huge tangled web

Could someone please look up for me on the 1901 cencus for James Kershaw who would have been43 .He was a steam crane engine driver. He has a son called James Kershaw(my grandad) iwould like to know if he had any siblings and also his mot
