World War One / Re: WW1 service records for Joseph Tate
« on: Tuesday 14 January 20 22:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

I'd like to thank very much both persons who helped me with my search

Below is My Grandads Medals card reference

Name:
Joseph Tate
Regiment or Corps:
East Yorkshire Regiment, Training Res (York)
Regimental Number:
17054, TR/5/2436 3

Where can or can some one tell me what the codes on each card mean - especially the word "disc"
How many medals would a WW1 soldier receive if he survived the war
From the info shown on the cards about the regiments is it possible to find a map of where they fought on the front/s

Mnny many Thanks
Peter

Hello

I see from Rootschat that you have an interest in Edward Tate - killed in a Mining accident
I'm interested what other info you may have
Edward is my Great Granddad - are you related in some way?

TIA
