Hello,

I don't know if it will help you, but I live only a few miles from Frankton and could go to the churchyard and search for you if you think it would assist.

regards,
Anne

Dear Kris,

I see now what you meant! - and MI puzzled me for a while, but I think you mean Monumental Inscription (?) - this took me to the Cornwall family history site, I will join it to search for some other Pearce burials...........as you can see, I'm very much still a beginner, and learning all the time about finding good websites.

I've been looking at the sites offered or suggested through Rootschat - what a great site this is, wish I'd found it before!

Thank you once again for your assistance,
best regards,
Anne

Cornwall Lookup Requests / Ellen PEARCE, born 8 Nov 1847, Cardinham

Hi

I'm looking for death information on Ellen Pearce - born 8 Nov 1847, chr 19 Oct 1851 in Cardinham, nr Bodmin - that is after 1905.

She was my great grandmother.  She lived in Castle Street, Bodmin right through to 1901 Census return and beyond I believe.  She was a witness at my grandmother's wedding in 1905 (in  Colchester), but I can't find any info on her after that, specifically a death date.   There seem to be a lot of Ellen Pearce's down there in Cornwall!  To my knowledge she never married.

Suggestions much appreciated.
I am visiting the Bodmin area at the end of May, if anyone can help locally that would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Anne

Hello, Pauline

I have Pearce ancestors from Warleggan.  I am visiting the village in late May and would like to make contact with you or anyone else with an interest in family history in this area, to exchange information and offer assistance.

regards,
Anne
